I was too impatient, the messages do appear. They take at least 15″ to appear though.
My goal was to have kind of an announcement system, but if it takes that long, the person entering is in my living room by then, making the system obsolete. 🙁

A bit late…, but I agree with jeff5.
I had the Jeff Lawrence version running and updated over the air to 1.0.8. No problems at all, rebooted OK, working fine.

same here, no luck. Flashed nodemcu.bin first, then I’ve tried both og_1.0.7.bin and og_1.0.7_median.bin
After flashing and reconnecting to power, it just the solid green/yellow led, no AP. Not even after pushing the button for at least 5″…

What else can I do?

same here. It’s not connecting after the update. (It cann’t take hours, can it?) Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router with latest firmware.

The OG is kind of hard to reach for me now (surgery on shoulder). A very stupid question, I know, but where is that button? I’d have my son push it, but I don’t see it. 🙁
