Did you ever figure something out on this?

I just attempted to install into a setup with a Liftmaster 3850 with a Smart Control Panel (398lm) for the wall button, however I have been unable to figure out the magic formula with this hardware. If I bypass the Smart Control Panel entirely, OpenGarage works as expected, but once the wall button is connected OpenGarage is unable to open/close the garage door.

Looking at adding magnetic reed sensors to my devices.

Just to be clear, you have to solder the connections to the pins, right? Since it’s unclear if it’s pin 4 or 5, I want to make sure I do this correctly.

Working great! Installed a magnetic door sensor today and upgraded to this build so I can now use both sensors independently. So far, so good!

I just relocated and installed my third unit into a garage that has several different variables (on a lake with more humidity and windows). Issue is now I’m constantly getting fluctuations in readings, so false positives for open/closed status. Previous two units also had sensor read issues at one point…

Running firmware 1.1.1 and have adjusted the measurements correctly, but if still keeps pushing alerts when nothing has happened. I’ve now raised the dist read, but that’s not helping either as I’m still getting false alerts.

So my issue isn’t cold (I’m in Midwest US, so it gets plenty cold), but not really sure what else to do. At this point it’s just a blind remote control.

Do the sensors degrade over time? Anything else I can do to improve read accuracy and avoid false alerts?
