Hi,
I’m using FW v.1.09 and can’t seem to get mqtt control to work. <OG name>/OUT/STATE with message button does nothing.

also found this on github:

‘OGNAME/IN/STATE’ with a message of ‘close’ or ‘open’, it will trigger the door action. OGNAME is your OpenGarage device’s name (you can change it in Settings).

out/notify does work.

Tested this for a few days, it’s great. Works with home assistant. Had only one fail,but that was my fault – closed the door before home assistant changed stato from opening to open.

All working great here! I would love for a mod where you could use the distance sensor for vehicle detection and the magnetic one for the door.

I received magnetic switches today, will give it a try tomorrow and post pics.

Thanks, will give it a go with arduino SW, not that big of an issue, but graphics would be nice:)

hm..trying to flash your graphics file, but it just stops almost at the beginning.
Might have a clue as to why? thanks

I’m sorry, English isn’t my native language. I have only one door, but I thought about using the magnetic sensor for door status and ultrasonic for movement detection. Instead I will use ultrasonic version on my door (section garage door) with xiaomi pir sensor for movement. For my friend I will use your modified version, as he has roller doors and cant use ultrasonic sensor for it.

I was thinking about using the magnetic sensor for closed/open state and the ultrasonic one for movement detection, as I dont have a car in my garage, but 2 motorcycles and would have to move the ultrasonic sensor to a different location. But now thinking about this, I will probably just buy the xiaomi sensor and use the ultrasonic one on my door and the magnetic one on roller doors. Thanks

I have no idea tbh, as I’ve only tried official firmware for now, still waiting for magnetic switch to arrive from china, usually takes about 2-3 weeks to Slovenia.

italoc, I believe you need a normally closed sensor, so when both ends are together its in closed position.

As far as this firmware goes, this is perfect, but where do I change how open door is read – from distance sensor to magnetic switch? I am really new to all of this…
