    Instead of independant power supplie and wifi,does someone already modify the original project To power and use It on a network as a poe device?

    Seconding this, but I mainly just need wired ethernet and not necessarily PoE (though that would be nice) I really like to avoid wifi on devices that tend to stay in one place and is the main thing keeping me from buying this.

    My switch (Cisco 3750g-24ps) is backed by a UPS so I could still determine what state my garage is in during a power outage with something like this.

    Well, honestly I have never seen any smart garage door opener that supports wired Ethernet. Running a long Ethernet cable into the garage sounds inconvenient and I’d rather stay with a wireless solution.

    Hello Ray, in complicecated area running one wire for network and poker is situation.
    I am living in a condominium. The internet entre is like 20 m away and my personnal wifi is 4 floors upper with 4 concrete floors

    Poe in my case is the simplest way
