If you use homebridge (iOS HomeKit API emulation) or would like to control OpenGarage with Siri on your iDevices you can go ahead and install the OpenGarage plugin I just released here
It allows you to tell Siri to open and close your garage from anywhere and receive notifications as well.

Thanks @ChickenMilk for making this plugin.

I have installed it but for some reason, it seems to be doing everything twice?? Any idea whats going on here?

Also, is there a way for the notifications to come up when the door is opened using the normal remote?

Only if we use the Home App to open and close the door, we get notifications. But if we open/close the door with the normal remote, no notifications display.
