Hi All,
I have an occasional issue where the ‘distance’ reported by my OpenGarage stops updating. As a result, my home automation reports the door is open (when it’s not) and I have to check the camera to see if the door is really open.
Right now, after rebooting the Open Garage, the distance reported is: “Distance: 0 (cm)” which is incorrect – should be around 266 cm.
I’ve had this unit for several years – is there a chance it’s getting a bit temperamental?

Well I tried replacing the distance sensor, now it always reads 0cm 🙁 I guess I damaged something removing the old sensor. I’ve ordered a replacement OG.
I’m seeing similar behavior on a 1.2.4 unit, every ~month my OG just doesn’t update door state, especially if the door was moved by HomeLink, the actual button, or some mechanism aside from a OG request. Power cycling the unit always fixes it.
I assumed it was just some jankiness, but reading this thread maybe I damaged the hardware?
