We’ve released our first ESPHome-based firmware for OpenGarage, bringing native, local Home Assistant (HA) integration with door controls, vehicle sensing, and Security+ 1.0/2.0 support—including opener light and remote-lock controls on v2.3+ hardware.
One unified firmware supports OpenGarage v2.0–v2.2 and v2.3+ boards. A prebuilt firmware download is available—no compilation required. This is an optional alternative for users who prefer a native HA integration; the stock firmware remains available.
