My OpenGarage is from 2019 and has firmware 1.2.0. Was hoping to upgrade the firmware. But, when I check the JSON string at /db I do not see flash_size. Is there another way to identify what the flash size is?

If you bought it in 2019, I am pretty sure it has 4MB flash. To verify, you can take a picture of the ESP8266 WiFi module on the board – it’s straightforward to tell the flash size from the specific ESP8266 module.
