Thank you Ray for opengarage. I have it working the way I wanted to finally and wanted to share a minor thing back. My family is standardized on Smartthings + iOS devices. I have wanted a “Hey Siri” invocation to open/close my garage and I finally got it working and wanted to share it back.

This is really simplistic and ghetto but does get the job done. One caveat, the audible indicator has to be set to 5 seconds or higher(in the opengarage webui), when I set it to be immediate the blynk rest call ends up freezing the garage door control.

Please import this shortcut in the iOS shortcut app, edit and add your blynk token. Further rename it to whatever you want it to. In my case I have it named Camry & Civic for the appropriate garage.

Now you can invoke this by calling “Hey Siri, Camry” and it toggles the switch and the garage either opens/closes depending on the existing state.

I have opengarage also set up with Homebridge and it works great with the “Home” app in iOS to give me the garage state when I am away from the house. Hope somebody finds this useful.

Thank you for this. Just loaded it up, entered my blynk token and my garage door opened. The shortcut didnt work to close the door though. I checked the blynk app and the button was stuck on pressed, so I had to toggle it then the shortcut worked again. I havent set up audible indicator up as you mentioned so maybe that is the issue you describe?
